INFORMATION
The IPFO House of Photography is a building steeped in history. For 145 years, it served as a natural history museum until it was taken over and extensively renovated in 2020 by the IPFO (International Photo Festival Olten) team with the support of the City of Olten. Today, it is regarded as a center of excellence for photography, presenting four exhibitions each year by internationally and nationally renowned photographers that inspire, delight, and foster dialogue both locally and beyond.
Here you'll find an overview of our hours of operation, ticketing information, and directions and contact details. At the bottom of the page, you'll also find a list of our upcoming and past exhibitions.

Directions | Contact
We recommend traveling by train. From the Olten train station, it’s about a ten-minute walk to the House of Photography—across the old wooden bridge through the old town.
There are parking spaces available around the museum. We recommend using the parking lot at Schützenmatte, which is just a five-minute walk from the House of Photography.
Unfortunately, the House of Photography is not accessible.
